As I write this blog seated in my garden swing, the wind rustles through the lilac trees in my garden. A motley crew of tree sparrows declare their turf and a white pigeon with black flecks observes me with a tinted side eye from the roof!
The last rays of the summer sun bless this mild mannered day.
My clothes sway lazily on the washing line as I sit in thought.
I’ve just read that Dolly Parton has passed into spirit.
She was a person I felt was a true earth angel. She left the world a better and brighter place.
I know there will be hundreds of tributes from celebrities & politicians to come.
The amount of children she helped through her Imagination library is astounding.
I will also never forgot her donating a million dollars in 2020 toward a Covid vaccine.
Dolly was unapologetically herself.
She followed her heart.
She lived her truth and I loved her sharp southern wit.
When she was asked how does she remain so positive all the time she answered by saying her positivity was a choice and one she had to work at.
I completely agree. Misery loves company. Not every day is sunshine & rainbows but we do have a choice how we face each day.
That is our gift of free will.
Our energy affects those around us just as other peoples energies can affect us. I always call in spirit and my angels each morning , fill up my bird feeders and sit with my morning coffee enjoying all my feathered friends as they have their breakfast!
It’s a conscious decision to be in that mindset as I’m aware of the responsibility I have in holding such sacred space for my clients.
Sometimes, clients remark on my chirpiness! I feel it’s incumbent on me to hold that positive energy and I love that they walk away from a reading feeling reassured and have a sense of peacefulness.
Dolly shone a light of positivity into the world. Her playfulness and mischievous personality lifted everyone around her.
She was a light worker in every sense of the word and it was an honour to be alive in the same stratosphere of the legend that she was and forever immortalised in history as a beautiful talented generous soul.
