I’m entering my last year of my 40’s! I remember chatting with my Nanny about age, she said she didn’t feel old that it literally was just a number. The older I get the more I agree with my nanny, you are truly as old as you feel.
Trauma ages you.
Betrayal ages you.
Sickness wears you down.
People can drag you under.
Surrounding yourself with good people is the surest way to keep your sense of humor and positive outlook. Make no bones about it , positivity is a choice.
In the face of a society that is becoming increasingly polarizing and a political climate that is looking more fragile by the day, choosing to be optimistic and not let your hope die out is an act of bravery.
I’ve read for thousands at this point in my career. The one thing that never fails to humble me is the courage my clients have in the face of insurmountable loss.
The human spirit is indomitable.
Our loved ones in spirit bear witness to our struggles and are always trying to send helpful people , signs , symbols our way so that we can realise that we are not on our own.
There is a lesson in everything if we look hard enough. Sometimes the lesson is not always in plain sight! Years later we may sit bolt upright in bed as the lesson hits us square in the face!
The more we trust our intuition , the more we can spot off kilter energy and ulterior motives a mile off. Remember your life experiences are different to those around you, even close family members can have very different life experience & perspective. Never discount your vibes and if something feels off, trust it!
As I grow older I trust those vibes more. I lean into the lesson. I may not be happy about it but I trust I will come out the other side changed for the better!
Think of it like this…you have survived 100% of your worst days up to this point!
You can truly face anything!
As I truly enter midlife , there are parts of me I dearly cherish and will fight for. My endless optimism and belief in good people and that there are others , a veritable tribe if you will that feel the same.
A belief that is rooted in the core of me that spirit are always with us and guiding us , until we see them again!
